Celebrating Christmas early

Tomorrow is Christmas In The Village at Paint Lick

There are still lots of Raffle tickets available. The raffle along with all the gifts for the children, is a BIG part of tomorrows festivities. The Raffle prizes were on display earlier at the Oktober Fest. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have some great items that will be given away. The proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets goes into the general operating fund here at Friends, which helps us all year.

Let me just add a note about one of the most recent prizes that was added this year thanks to the members of The Paint Lick Sportsman’s Club.

A one year membership will be raffled tomorrow which represents a valuable gift not only in monetary terms, but in terms of affording the winner the opportunity to be a part of the 2011 activities of one of the few Paint Lick social clubs dedicated to the whole community. Do yourself (and us) a favor and put some of your raffle tickets into this. Be sure to see previous posts for time and info about tomorrow.

CHRISTMAS in OUR VILLAGE

Christmas in Our Village

November 3, 2010

Coming December 4th! Mark your calendar.

It’s not too early, just look in the stores. Besides, we don’t want anyone to miss the happy occasion here in the village.

Christmas in the Village, first Saturday in December, 12/04, probably 10 – 2. Get your raffle tickets for some great prizes (ask to see them at Friends building) from Friends or bank. It’s for the kids: Reading of the Christmas story and art projects at Friends with gifts under the tree and food, the arrival of Santa… then fun at the fire station, (Be sure to get a photo with Santa before he goes inside.) Help us spread the word.

Christmas comes to the Village

Alex gets his turn to talk to Santa

It was a near perfect day in Paint Lick Saturday, for the annual Christmas in the Village celebration. A light snow provided the visual proof that winter had indeed come and that Santa’s visit could proceed. Lots of kids, first at Santa’s arrival at the fire station and then on to Friend’s of Paint Lick for refreshments, crafts, and more gifts.

A BIG thank you to everyone who made it a great day in the village: our volunteer fire department, the sponsors who donated the raffle prizes, the story-tellers, craft workers, food providers, and of course our volunteers at Friends. The total raised for the Friends budget is at $570.
